This is a video series of low poly isometric rooms that I created with Blender and Cycles renderer.
I have a special technique for setting the color: I unwrap the whole model in edit mode by pressing U and Reset. Then I select all faces and in UV image editor I scale the islands down and move them to a particular color rectangle of 16×16 pixel size.
