In this tutorial I show how to create a pencil cap, a hardsurface model with Blender 2.77. I am using standard tools and techniques, no external addons for that.
In this video you can follow the process along, the following modeling techniques are used:
* Adding background images as modeling aid and reference
* Add primitives like cylinders or circles
* Extrude faces, connect / bridge edgle loops to faces
* Add edge loops and bevels for crisp edges
