I import a model of binoculars ((https://www.artstation.com/artwork/EKvon) in Blender 2.79 and setup the materials here with the Principled Shader because Blender 2.8 at the moment is not able to import external models.
But you can save the project in 2.79 and then open it in Blender 2.8. After I imported the textures and use it for the materials I switch from Cycles renderer to Eevee and … voilà… the shader can be used for Eevee as well:
